COURSE INFORMATION Course Description: The intended audience for this course is nursing staff who assist with stress testing. This course is designed to solidify knowledge about the 12 lead EKG and review the multifaceted aspects of exercise testing. Course Objectives: 1. Provide an overview of aspects of 12 lead EKG interpretation. 2. Discuss physiologic responses to exercise. 3. Discuss stress testing protocols. 4. Discuss the use of stress testing in special populations. Participant Objectives: Upon completion of the program the learner will be able to: 1. Determine the mean QRS axis from a 12 lead EKG. 2. Identify EKG changes after MI. 3. Differentiate right and left bundle branch blocks. 4. Discuss the physiologic responses to exercise. 5. Describe stress testing protocols. 6. Identify issues related to testing special populations.
